I love telling stories with images, LOVE. Storytelling photography allows me to capture when she does something that makes me laugh or SCREAM or cry. Do I take a picture of everything? No. I can’t. At some point you do you have to put the camera down and live in the moment instead of being obsessed with documenting it. Amanda of Gingersnap Photographs wrote a blog article about it- Being a Mom First.
So every few months I decide I will take pictures for an entire day. Some days we sit at home in our underwear and do pretty much nothing all day. Other days, like this one, we have a tons of errands and activities planned. Here is a snapshot of our day. It’s not all here but you get a sense of the day and these images tell the story of her right now.
If you are interested in documenting a day in your life I wrote a tutorial. I have also done a few other day in the life of Chloe here on my blog. This is also an assignment in the storytelling photography workshop I offer, The Art of Telling Stories.
