On Black Friday 2017 I bought a lifetime subscription to Dubsado. For the previous year I was using Tave and while it is a super robust system, I was missing some of the design/customization elements of other CRMs. I did a test run of Dubsado and while I was losing a lot of features in the switch I took a leap of faith that eventually Dubsado would catch up. The truth is there is no one perfect CRM for everyone, believe me, I have tried so many. Dubsado is not perfect, but here are the 5 reasons I love it in no particular order. If you decide to try it out use my code to get 30% off your first payment.
Code is coliejames (I am so original LOL).
So this is actually brand new as of this week, but is likely the most highly requested feature by so many professions using Dubsado. This enables someone to select a product, sign a contract, and pay in full (or required retainer) right off your website.
If you have spent any time on my site you know I LOVE making family films. I have videos embedded on almost every page on my website, so I wanted the same ability for my CRM. In the public proposal above you can see an example of a video embedded on a form. I can embed a video on any form I want in Dubsado, except a contract 😉
So when share a link to one of my forms from Dubsado you don’t see dubsado.com you see clients.coliejamesphotography.com instead. I think this just helps strengthen my brand. So if I need to share a direct link instead of embedding the public form above on my website, I can.
I like to keep my photography and mentoring clients separated in Dubsado. So I have one brand setup for each to allow different branding customizations (email signature, logos, colors).
The two CRMs I used previously only saved the items chosen by the client in the proposal. So if they only chose a single newborn session initially and wanted to upgrade to a baby plan for the year, the options were gone. I like preserving what was offered initially without printing everything to PDF.
