Have you considered having an in-home photography session for your family?  If you live in Denver or Boulder you are feeling the effects of the cold weather of late.  While the snow we got last weekend was GORGEOUS it is a real deterrent for outside photography sessions in Fall and Winter.

Now I know what you are thinking… my house is too messy, my house won’t photograph well, blah blah blah I know the feeling.  I have a two-year old wrecking ball who can destroy a clean house in 5 minutes flat and I am not fond of the light or paint in most rooms.  I get it.   However I won’t be taking wide-angle pictures to document the clutter (unless it is part of the story).

Think of the possibilities of having a session in your home!

1. family portraits on a couch or bed
2. playing a board game
3. watching TV
4. cooking/eating dinner
5. routines (bathtime, brushing teeth, reading a bedtime book)
6. cuddling by the fireplace
7. cute staged photos of the kids

These can be posed or real moments you document from your life in the comfort (and warmth) of your own home.

So if you are waiting until Spring to get family portraits, don’t.  Book a lifestyle in-home session regardless of the weather!  These make great memories for a keepsake album.
