you have heard me talk about this before, in winter in colorado there is a lot of time to work on the business and personal shooting since the weather is unpredictable and cold!
one task i am working on is my portfolio. when you shoot as much personal stuff as i do (see daily project here) and you shoot lifestyle both at home and for clients it is a fine line to walk on how much personal to include in your portfolio. i debated on creating one site for personal and one for professional. but that’s just not me.
i love photography and first and foremost i shoot for myself. this means that when chloe gets older she will never wonder what she looked like when she was 2 or think that i exaggerated how dramatic her tantrums were when we were potty training, but i have documented proof. i am also the master of getting self-portraits with my daughter and family. well maybe i am not a “master” but they work for me 😉
so at the end of the day i include these in my portfolio because these are the memories i want to document for your family. yes, YOU. i want you to see the pictures i take of my daughter and think “man can she come document our family like that” and the answer is YES I CAN!~
this is still a work in progress… but if you want to see the current portfolio look here
a couple of those selfies i mentioned… it is very important to get IN the picture with your children. and yes i like to make kissy faces
