Lack of coffee, lack of sleep, and lots of tears. That sums up our first week of preschool, but we survived.
I knew it was going to be hard because Chloe is extremely stubborn and very attached to me. She has been doing better at play areas, communicating with words, and telling me “see you later “when I leave for a photography session. None of those happened when I tried to leave her at school.
So originally she was scheduled for MWF preschool in a class with 3-5 year olds but after the first day we decided to move her to a TTH class of 2.5-3.5 year olds. This week she went to that class on Tuesday and Thursday but she was still unable to console herself after I left.
Tell me it will get better.
Despite this she is still excited about going to school and in the morning will happily grab her Elmo backpack to go bye-bye in the car. This gives me hope.
These images reflect the parts where I was in the room with her and she was enjoying herself. I am thinking if I took pictures of her in mid-tantrum her teachers would think I was crazy but y’all know I do that all the time.
Oh and likely no surprise but she wore her purple (orange) dress 🙂
So how was your little one’s first day (back to) school?
