I wrote a blog post for Light Inspired a few months ago confessing my love affair with ProPhoto and asked a few photographers to weigh in. Months later I still think they REALLY are worth it and I was reminded tonight why.
I started on a WordPress.com site in 2012 before moving over to Blogger. Then I finally took the leap to switch to a self-hosted WordPress and bought ProPhoto at the same time this summer. I still kick myself every once in awhile for not doing it sooner. Tonight I am having that same feeling. I am starting a new collaborative project, stay tuned for the details you won’t want to miss it, but I spent the evening trying a few different free templates for self-hosted WordPress blogs.
I found this Polaroid theme that I like, but once I install the theme and get in there to make the customizations it is just so difficult for me to find anything. I do not speak CSS and I find myself wishing there were videos equivalent to the one ProPhoto provides to help you navigate their themes. I am not sure I can handle a WordPress blog that isn’t ProPhoto for functionality. Seriously.
So even if I get this project going I will simply be counting the days-weeks-months until I can get Prophoto on that project as well. This is my love affair with ProPhoto. I thought I *just* loved ProPhoto for the awesome grids and slideshows, but it is so much more. Did you know both Let Them Be Little and Cherish This Day use ProPhoto themes?
