This almost has nothing to do with photography, but I get asked a lot about the trip we took last fall. I already wrote a blog post about taking the Fuji x100t to Disney over all The Stories We Tell and that pretty much covered the photography aspect. When I got home I wrote up this list of things I wish I had known before I went so I thought I would just share it here so when someone askes I have a link to share. Do you have any tips I can add? Leave them in the comments below.
Top 10 things I wish I knew before I went to Disney
that you need to ask for Mickey Waffles at Akershus Princess Breakfast
that the Wine & Food festival kiosks are NOT open for extended evening magic hours at Epcot
that ‘Ohana, Chef Mickeys, and Be Our Guest are the hardest reservations to get
that Toy Story & Seven Dwarfs Mine Train are ALWAYS at 40-80 minute standby wait time
for late night dinners at a resort you are not staying at like AKL go ahead and just add the taxi home into your budget
that the wait times for the kids rides are pretty much always < 20 minutes. Don’t waste a fast pass on them.
if you have a night reservation at a buffet don’t bother with a breakfast reservation. Seriously.
signatures do NOT show up well on the colored autograph book pages
if you check in early for an ADR really good chance they can squeeze you in.
never ever ever ever book your Halloween Party (or any special event tickets) 6 months out because that ONE day you choose you will get rained out.
