Printing Your Family Photos
So I know I am getting up there and my mind isn’t as fresh as it used to be, but I simply cannot fathom that this is the first time I have written about this on the blog. I have searched and can’t find a post I swear I wrote years ago. Oh well, that just means I have to write it again.
This is not a post about booking a professional family session, but if you had one in 2020 PRINT THE PHOTOS. This is about making sure on a semi-regular basis, you are printing your family’s memories. I am usually great about printing the professional ones, but the ones from my phone or from my camera, they just get left as a jpeg. That’s why for 2021 I have added in a calendar event on the last day of the month to PRINT THE PHOTOS.
Yes, I am totally yelling this.
The “shoebox” can be an actual shoebox or any other container to store and protest the prints. I offer both linen and wood boxes to my clients for their professional family images and it can hold a USB as well.
We spent a LOT of time at home together as humans in 2020. I suspect for a good chunk of 2021 it will be the same. Take out the camera, take the pictures, PRINT the pictures. If you don’t have enough images to print, at least add them to a folder so that next month you will be able to complete the order.
K, lecture over 😉
Just in case you are wondering, I print my personal images at my professional lab, but I also totally use Artifact Uprising too! Printing your family photos is not just for yourself, but think of the joy your kids and your future grandkids will experience while they look at them one day.
