This is my first month posting in a new blog circle where we write letters to our daughters.
Dearest Chloe-
While it seems like yesterday I came down the stairs to tell your daddy that I was pregnant, that was over 3 years ago. In the last 6 weeks you have exploded with words, demanded chicken 3 times a day, insisted on what to wear, and walked around pretending to talk to you paw-paw. You have no concept of the word “no” because if I tell you no fruit snacks, no chicken, no yogurt you simply get your little Elmo chair and drag it into the kitchen to get it yourself.
You went bowling for the first time this week and you LOVED it. You kept taking everyone else’s turn.
You imitate everything I do which means mommy now has to refrain from using those bad words. You are constantly looking for daddy demanding I open the basement door so you can see if he is down there. You constantly want to sit in his lap while he playing on his computer. While you used to only want mommy’s sunglasses you now love to wear you own and have 4 pairs O.o!
You have gone back to going to bed late. While I really love you staying in bed until 8:30-9:00 you NEED to go to bed before midnight! I would also love love love love love if you could learn to love your own bed.
You do the sweetest things now like trying to bring mommy her coffee and camera so these are both kept on very high shelves now where you can’t even reach it standing on a chair. When YOU are ready to go somewhere you start chanting KEYS and bring me my shoes. You tell me “I love you’ and demand hugs and kisses. Makes mommy tear up a little. You are getting so big so fast… can we slow down a little? You just turned 2 and half and I just want you to stay little for awhile longer.
love you always,
mommy (and yes I am your MOMMY stop calling me MOOOOOOOM)
Please continue around our circle starting with my friend Jessie.
