The first 48 hours after you give birth goes so quickly.  Your inside baby is now on the outside.  My personal experience was lots of staring.  Staring, cuddling, and feeding.  Pictures?  Only the ones we took on our cell phones and three our nurse took on a point & shoot camera the morning we were discharged.  Hospital newborn photography was not a “thing” when I gave birth, but I wish it was.  I would give anything to go back and have a Fresh 48 session.  That’s why I love coming to the hospital to meet and document your family.
